We've made a commitment to not get carried away with buying baby stuff in our little household. Second hand, make do, hand-me-downs, just what's necessary. But holy crap, sometimes my resolve is tested...

Went to Pip Lincolne's launch of "Sew La Tea Do" last night at the very hip Captains of Industry. All very lush and lovely, though my third trimester body doesn't cope so well with standing for extended periods of time anymore.
Still, so great to support Pip who does an incredible job of supporting Mirabel, an organisation I just happen to work for! Check out her Softies for Mirabel campaign and get craftin'.

And the book is fabulous. Got myself some new projects to work on now (and not that I'm hoping for one or the other, but I'm thinking this would look better on my little poppet if it was a girl... so cute!)

We love our little pad and particularly the abundance of natural light. Such a difference from our previous little art deco apartment that - cosy and gorgeous as it was - was so dark and to be honest, somewhat depressing. Natural light makes all the difference to my mental health. A city view doesn't hurt either.

It's sunday and while hubby is off doing some sort of handyman project, I'm enjoying the sunny afternoon pottering around. Baby cosmo is kicking, Nick Cave is singing in the background, and things are getting ticked off my to do list.

Kind of enjoying the prospect of finishing up at work so that I can enjoy more of this domesticity. 30 weeks today, so not that long to go really... eek...

phew. Here we go. It's like opening a new notebook and being faced with crisp white pages that intimidate the crap out of me. But boldly I will go...

I'm hesitant to start this blog. There are so many out there. Do I really have anything interesting and new to say? Perhaps not, but I will give it a red hot go anyway, and we'll see what happens. Let's just say it's for me, and if anyone else enjoys it, well that's a bonus.

This crisp white space will hopefully be a little outlet for words and pictures that reflect what's happening in my little ol' life and its surrounds. A baby growing in my belly, a newish apartment with a view over the city skyline of Melbourne, good food I'm cooking, great music I'm listening to, projects I'm creating, things that inspire...

Let's get cracking and see how it goes. xx
